I'm interested to know where one would look for just pommels, crossguards and basket-hilts. I come across blades I like a lot, but, I am looking to switch out hilts. I carve and wrap my own grips as well as construct my own wood-core scabbards, but, the hardest part I have is finding different hilts without buying another whole blade. I know there are places to find this stuff, like The Moat in Albions website, but, are there any others?
Thanks ahead of time,
Murphy
Darkwood Armory might be a viable option if you are interested in just getting a hilt or hilt components.

These folk have some stuff in their theatrical section. Click the British flag for the English version..

Some of the same, plus different, over at www.amfence.com
Albion occasionally has some parts in their Moat section, it was pertty sparse, the last I looked.
Valentine Armouries had some few pieces but I don't see them listed at all there anymore.
Baskets and compound hilts in general are a little hard to come by, other than what's listed at those first two sites. There is the do-it-yourself school and I have seen some really terrific efforts. Some have been some pretty lengthy journeys of learning.

Thanks guys!
Mr. Hopkins- That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, yet, I can't convince the SWMBO to let me part with more money than I've ever spent on any given sword just for a hilt. But I thank you. I bookmarked it just in case I win the lottery.
Mr. Cleeton- I'm about to check those links ya posted and we'll see where that goes.
Thanks folks, any more?

That's a great little link right there. Have you used any of their pommels and/or guards? For those prices, I would go so far as to add them to the steadily growing pile of Stainless blades in the basement!
Thank you Mr. Williams!

I have not used any of their pommels or guards. I have purchased buckles, strap ends, and other such items. They were very good quality and a pleasure to deal with. Good luck to you.

Has anyone bought parts from this particular site? Their pictures are kind of difficult to see (at least, for me), so it's hard to judge what the different pommels really look like.

Hello.
Valentines has sorted out all of their extra findings and they are posted again on the website, and selling on eBay.
There is sword pommels, crossguards, handles, etc...
