I was looking through my Osprey book on Scottish Highland Clansmen recently and I noticed that two of the contemporary sketches by the 'Penicuik artist' showed Highlanders wielding basket-hilted broadswords with curved, clipped-point blades. The caption said these were known as Turceach or Turkish-style blades. they are, to me, quite fascinating and unusual, and any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan Tucker
