finally, it's my.
With out a doubt, blade is persian, but I'm not sure about a grip - I did not find this kind of a grip in any book presenting persian sabers - in Manouchehirs book too (yes, i'm happy owner at last)
And I still can not read king's name in kartush

Thank you very much for providing us with this interesting piece. The calligraphy is not very good (sorry to say). It is hard to read. It says Bandeye Shah Velayat, but I cannot read the name of the king. Could you give me another pic of the cartouche and also a close-up of the handle?

The grip looks similar to Ottoman "pistol-shaped" grips of the 17th-19th centuries. I'm inclined to think that it's an Ottoman replacement.

Sorry I missed the close-up. I agree with you Hisjam. This is not a Persian grip. A nice sword.
