As I intend to buy (better, let it make for me) a Burgonet this year, I need some informations or photos of early Burgonets/Sturmhauben. Should be about 1525 to 1550 (Doppelsöldner, no knights helmets) , Germany or Italy, and I thought it would be no problem, but surprisingly I did only found few photos and some drawings. As anybody has something about this helmet it would be nice to share it with me, Thanks, Peter

Then download the very large PDF file (7.6 M) of Der Landsknecht im Spiegel der Renaissancegraphik um 1500 - 1540. It's a German-language document contains more than 200 contemporary image of Landesknechts (starting on page 296). It's the most complete visual resource I've found. I burned it to CD, and would encourage other Landesknecht afficionados to do the same. You'll find a few images of German infantry burgonets for the period of your interest.

@Chad: of course I checked the Spotlight article before posting a new Thread, but there are only few helmets in the first half of 16th cent. , it´s sad, but most are to late for me .
@ Sean: thanks for this great link, the pictures are wonderful.

Glad I could help. The images in the first post came from: 2,500 years of European helmets, 800 B.C.-1700 A.D. The ones in the second post from: Europäische Helme.
I heartily recommend both books.
So after waiting for a long time I finally got my new Burgonet/Sturmhaube from Tomasz Tsamula...I think it´s really wonderful, I hope You like it too...thanks Chad, for the photos, You will recognize it.
It´s a closed Sturmhaube, because the two wings meet under the chin, so it delivers more protection.

That is beautiful. Congratulations ! :)
Ha!
Cool!!
I find the fact that a piece of armor has just come alive out of the pages of a history book completely fascinating. I'm never going to look at the photo of an attractive helmet the same way again.

I use one helmet made by T.Samula .I am sure you will be satisfied by yours.

Looks nice! Does Tomasz have a website? Not that I can't just Google...
I answered my own question: http://www.tomala.lublin.pl/index.php?strona=wstep&lng=eng
