Hey i'm new to the forums, i happened to find this place through a google search. Anyways, earlier today i recieved my first sword, it's nothing special just a movie prop that my guitar teacher bought about 20 years ago from DisneyWorld. It's false edged and actually quite neat. I'll get some pics and post them up sometime. Now on to my question. I'd like to make some kind of simple scabbard like object. I've got this picture in my mind of a kind of sling-like scabbard. I don't know if it makes sense, it would hang over the right shoulder and then instead of a scabbard that covers the entire blade, it would be just like a sling lol. I don't know if anyone can help me out, but if someone knows of a good way to make one, or has a pic to help out that would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.

You should give the SEARCH, feature, located at the forums index , a try. There are a good half dozen posts showing how various members have made their own. You don't have to buy leather and go that far. Gluing canvas over the wood would be credible and easier than tackling leather working.

Well i did use the search function, and when i didn't get any results that resembled what i was looking for, i decided to post and ask. It's alright though, i found what i was looking for elsewhere. Thanks for your help, those scabbards are just too complicated for me.
