Hey guys,
I was researching bascinets and one thing that I am unable to find a good answer for is then would a side-pivoting visor on a bascinet be appropriate in 14th century Germany/central Europe. Typically, I see the klapvisor central hinge design being most associated with that region up until the end of the 14th century, but do we have any earlier art or artifacts that indicate a side-pivot visor design (like the one pictured)?
Thanks for your help!

Could you be a bit more specific with the decade? it would help narrow down the surces.
Sure, I am mostly looking at the 1360s to the 1380s. As you get into the 1390s and 1400s side pivots seem pretty well established, but around that third quarter of the 14th century I do not see much definitive information out there. One image I found saved in my computer years ago shows such a helm, and the file name indicates that the image is 1360s to 1370s, but that is hardly definitive proof. I'll attach it to my reply.
