Henry VIII Two Handed Sword
Hello All-! New to forum.....

I'm very interested in knowing if any of the forum has seen the recent exhibition at the Royal Armouries- Tower of London on Henry VIII etc specific to the proper Swords of the period?

I am specifically thinking about the Tonlet Sword or if that is or was just a "sword for show" or a sword for "go"...!

I keep seeing to many "fancy" or fantasy things out there which "gut" instinct is telling me are not historically correct.

Any ideas?

Thanks much.

Merry Christmas!

Doug
There has been an earlier thread about this sword: http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=21320
No criticism on you, I'm just trying to help ;)
So it could have actually been used, but it would mostly be used to thrust instead of being used to cut.
Where to buy Henry VIII Tonlet Sword?
Thank you for your reply.

I saw the earlier thread but wanted to ask the forum where such a historic sword as the Henry VIII Tonlet Sword might be found?

Any best in class makers out there to commission this historic sword?

Best- Doug
For such a custom project, I would probably choose A&A:
http://www.arms-n-armor.com/
They have a few two handers in their standard line and already did some custom ones so it would be no problem for them.
Thank you!
Well, this is a great resource!

Thank you!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Goodnight....!
