Here are the hard-to-find-at-a-reasonable-price Wallace Collection Catalogs--I have the same ones published in 1962 and 1963. A great reference indeed:

By the way, could anyone give me any information on these types of swords? I've seen others like this one in different auctions and they have always interested me, but I'm afraid I dont know much about them.

Richard,
If you'd like more general information on that type of sword, please post a new topic in the Historic Arms Talk forum. This thread is simply for pointing people to items on Ebay.

Can't read German, so I can't read the details, but perhaps this purports to be genuine?:
MEDIEVAL SWORD

EFTIS:LARGE GREEK Rat-Tail SWORD : CRETE 1200BC N/R!
------------------------------------------------------
ANATOLIAN BRONZE SWORD, 900 BC
Note the tang - seems to me like a much-later iron age/medieval sword.

And Ed Toton - thanks for the translation! So that "Medieval Sword" listing is actually supposed to be a casting of St. Olaf's sword. Cool.
