Thanks Geoff!
I've had a look at the makers website, in particular the armour.
Hmm, while the workmanship seems good, I'm not sure if I like the idea of a kolahkhod, a chahar ayna, bazubands and dhal shield decorated with Classical Graeco-Roman style designs! It's not Mughul armour as we know it Jim!
Their weapons look good, although again one of "tulwars" actually looks like a Polish Tatar sabre. And why have they got a picture of what looks like a bunch of Vikings under one of their kulahkhud-style helmets? I get the impression that these guys have seen a few pictures, but don't really know that much about armour and weapons.
Still, nice-looking swords though. :)

Hmm.. I'm really not into armor thus unable to tell :p Got this contact from scouring the Ebay actually. Their shipping's rather cheap, that's what I like :-)

Ancient Arms first appeared on forums some years ago. They were widely jeered off of several for spamming. Even in 2000 they were offering what appeared to be at least average production Indian pieces and they were offering some billets at that time.
I had been on a hunt some months ago and meant to look at their site. In has a lot more content now than it did six years ago. If one runs searches for Indian manufacturers and weapons reproduction, it seems pretty centralized but there are many shops. I am quite sure Windlass networks with some of them for certain items but that is a story I'm still working on.
All that glitters is not gold but even when this site started advertising, they seemed to have something worthwile to offer.
Cheers
