Hello all!
Marc-Antoine Jean,
Did you take the drawing out of Claude Blair's
European Armour Circa 1066 to Circa 1700? If not, or for others that don't have access to the information, here's the caption from the drawing in the "Details of Armour Figs. 67-300":
Claude Blair wrote: |
114. Sallet with Bevor attached, probably by Lorenz Helmschmied of Augsburg, c. 1490. M.M.N.B.-At least one gorget-plate is missing. |
M.M. is Claude Blair's abbreviation for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. If that piece is still there, the Met may have some additional information. The information may be available on their website. (N.B. was just Blair's abbreviation for when he didn't list or didn't have the catalogue numbers.)
I hope this was at least slightly helpful!
Stay safe!
