New sword XVa “Light Swan” made by Damian Sulowski.

That is sword inspired on historical find from Castillon. The dimentions of the sword are just fabulous. The sword is light, agile and quick.


Full functional, made with high quality steel 51CrV4,

Hardened 54HRC,

Sword dated to the 15 th century,

Total lenght: 115cm,

Blade lenght: 89,5cm,

Blade width at the base: 4,7cm,

Thickness of blade at the base: 5,9mm

Balance: 8,5cm,

Grip lenght: 16,5cm,

Weight 1309g,

Edge is sharp

The facets on the end of the pommel appear very crisp and well-defined.

The sword itself looks like it would be very quick, accurate, and precise!
Amazing work!

Actually, this sword is very, very similar in terms of specs to a weapon I commissioned from Craig at Arms & Armor - on that note, I can only believe you that this is a sword with excellent handling characteristics. XVa's were a fantastic multipurpose sidearm for the age of armor.
