Seriously, I appreciate the well-wishes from everyone. I've been able to enjoy a quiet day with my family. I've been able to play with the kids a good amount, too. It's been great. Tonight, I get to play a concert of great music (Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich--what's not to love?). All in all a good day.
And, no, no sharp-n-pointy birthday presents for me this year (again). There might be a good book or two from Amazon gift cards I received, but there's no money for swords/daggers as a birthday present. Unless people want to start sending me swords out of the kindness of their hearts.... :)
