It's good to get some confirmation that it's not just my subjective feeling but my subjective feeling AND yours. :)

Also, unless someone had actually tried building a scabbard themself they would not realize just exactly what a pain in the rear that wide belt was on the scabbard constructed. If I might say so I thought you did a very nice job on your first effort (much nicer then my own first attempt).

No reviews this time, just a couple of pictures of some new stuff.

First a Maelstrom Line scabbard from my old Albion Duke. I say my old Albion Duke because it has since gone on to a new owner. If you all recall it was also originally Gordon Clark's old Albion Duke, presented to him by Albion for some stuff he did for them. I'm always fascinated by the travels swords had both in antiquity and today.

Second we have a Trident Line Set of Arms and Armor Katzbalger and Katzbalger dagger. A really fun set to work with. It's always neat to do something different. Oddly I have another Katzbalger scabbard also, almost done. Weird how I seem to get sword types in groups rarely singly...

Also this next year look for some interesting new stuff from Tritonworks including a completely new (or rather old) take on making scabbards using an alternative method and a couple other new items that I've been meaning to get into for years now.

Looks nice and clean and easy to navigate and easy to compare at a glance the options and approximate price ranges.

So, did you officialy buy Patrick's Vince Edward's double fullered sword. :eek:

Thanks! It was just brought to my attention that when one changes the DNS entries it takes some time for the change to filter through the web. Therefore all of you may not be able to see the new site yet. Check back in a day or two if you are still seeing the same thing? :) Anyway Jean, yes I did buy Patrick's sword although I've got to get the money to him still! :) It's going to be a bit of a squeeze since this one was unplanned and (but heck when was the last time you saw a Vince Evans medieval sword on sale?) I've got some other things on order as well, so you may see a few nice items up for sale from me in the next few months, depends on if I can put the money together to hang on to all my stuff and also get the new ones.

This is something I am especially looking forward to, an "Ultra High End Full Throttle Custom Plaque Belt and Scabbard System" from Russ. I have a feeling it should help him with his acquisitions. :lol:
As I have no price ceiling on my order, just waiting for an estimate but there is no hurry, and the order will most probably be paid for in it's entirety before it's even started.

Russ, my wife and I having seen your work in person at the Renaissance Faire, your craftsmanship is nothing short of "incredible"!

I am so looking forward to this!

Well here's my very own first update of my spiffy new website, in the review section. It turned out to be a lot easier then I thought mostly due to the good design of the gentlemen who put it together for me.

Thanks for the review on the DT2130. I have one with the Museum Replicas era CK55 Krupp blade, and next to my Albion, it is my favorite sword in my collection.

Okay as promised, some more reviews... so far I've been able to stick to my one a night schedule...

First up the Albion Solingen. Pretty good timing I guess since I noted that Jeremy just got one in that he ordered.

Your review of the Vinland mentions that the grip is leather over "fine twine." The Duke review mentiones something similar. It's not done that way in the NG line. The wooden grips are wrapped with leather, and then temporarily over-wrapped with cord to leave a corded impression on the leather.

Thanks for the information. That was an assumption I made based on the appearance I've certainly never dissected one of their handles (customers get irate about that sort of thing). I'll amend the reviews accordingly.
