Craig Sitch (Manning Imp.) really does some nice detail work, and he's great to work with. He also said this was one of his favorite swords to make, so I think he really enjoys a good challenging "detail work" sort of project.
I know I sure like the end result!

I'm an absolute nut when it comes to detail work on a sword. Not elaborate decoration mind you, but fine detail work like the bronze/brass work on this sword. As the saying goes, the devil's in the details, work like this really illustrates a makers commitment to getting it right.
The last sword I bought was the AT1421 type XIII

Hey, Robert, you got that one! Cool! A really nice blade. And Dave chose some really good mounts on that one. That was a fun sword to do. Big beast of a blade too.
By the way, I totally forgot to send out the Japanese cleaning kit I had promised you. I was cleaning my shop late last night and came across the kit with your name on it. I'll ship it out Monday priority. Too many irons in the fire for me...

Yeah, I bought "stone-eater" as Dave called it. I had no intention of making such a purchase for quite a while, but your email pointing out the sale came on the exact same day as a big check backpaying me 10 months worth of BAH (bachelors allowance for housing). I wrestled with the decision for all of 1 minute before I decided it was fate that I buy this sword. No worries about the cleaning kit, I still have the one I ordered a few months ago. Hmmm, I'm trying to remember. Well, I *think* it was me. Howard sometimes does them as well and I really don't remember exactly.But I'm pretty sure it was me though.
I just picked up two Albion swords, a Crecy and a Gaddhjalt. They were my first Albion Mark swords but they certainly won't be my last.
A hanwei Golden Oriole katana... yeah, I know. YAWN.. but I got it for a song used. It's also serial number 28.... if thats acutally a serial number carved into the nakago, and inscribed just inside the saya mouth.
Gee, technically I guess my last sword was the Gustav Vasa http://www.myArmoury.com/review_aa_vasa.html I got from you Nathan... Hrmmm... So far it's been pretty cheap too... :D
Just recently received both an Atrim Phat Bastard and an A&A Bavarian a couple weeks ago. Will be receiving another Darkwood rapier soon (can't have enough of those things. :D )

Well, I've gotten a couple of new ones recently, with another on the way. The only problem is that since these will be review subjects, I can't talk about them now. I don't want to spoil the suprise ;)
Back again; I just remembered that I saved some photos from the eBay auction.
Here's a side view. The grip appears to be rewrapped, and the sword may be missing some scrolling side branches that connect the shells to the knucklebow.
