I just noticed that Trevor Absolon (Toraba) has listed a few nice honest samurai armor items on ebay. It has been quite some time ( probably 2yrs at least) since I have seen him do this but the last time he had some items on ebay I got a good deal on at a very fair price. Everything I have purchased from him has been exactly as described. See how he describes his items compared to other samurai armors on ebay.

Rossi's Armes et armures médiévales (I prefer the English version, but this book's real value lies in its pictures)

That's one of my favorite books on brasses. It's a good one.

I saw this one too. This is the 1929 version, by James Mann and Oswald Graf Trapp, not the newer version that has a reprint of this one, plus a new catalogue by Mario Scalini. Both volumes of the new version are slipcased together in a beautiful set.
Both the 1929 version and the newer one are rare and great books.
An older MRL / seems to be Del Tin Scramasax , has the running wolf stamp...I don't remember MRL/Windlass ever using the Passau markings...
