Pictured is a drawing by James Drummond (from Ancient Scottish Weapons, 1881, cropped from Plate IX. Fig.2) which states it as being the one he carried at Culloden. It appears to be a piece by one of the great Glasgow hammerman, such as John Simpson or Thomas Gemmill, but I've no proof of that either way ?
Just figured I'd ask as I can't seem to locate a pic of it in any of my books/files, and have no idea if it's currently in a private collection or one of the Museums out there ?
