Hello
I want to show my work for a friend of the forum.
Still much to do.
It will be a broadsword that used the Hussars in the sixteenth - seventeenth century.
Nathan Robinson, thank you very much for taking me in to the group of Professionals.

Wow. Look at that! I'm looking forward to see t hat one finished.
Great to see some polish/east region weapons reconstructed.
Especially ones that are less seen and a bit enigmatic.

Couldn't agree with you more, BS ... I definitely can appreciate the historical styling of the grip and
hilt. And like NR, can't wait to see the finished project ... well, I can wait, but you know what I
mean. It already looks exceptional from what we're being shown !
I hope this will include a scabbard as well. B-)
Thank you.
I will try to show examples broadsword.
This pattern is selected from a private collection.
Matthew G. M. Korenkiewicz thank you, I will scabbard.
Another moment work :)
I excuse bad writing.

The literature about broadsword is small.
Copies are very few.
The broadsword is made on the basis of early handle from the sword.
Later on, they had mounted an L-shaped handle and closed.
You can meet a set. Saber and broadsword with a similar structure and decoration.
Several pictures broadswords with different handles.

I thought there were some pictures in Zablocki's book on Polish sabers ... at least I think
a couple of those are, if I'm not mistaken.
I hope anyone who is fascinated by these types of swords have visited TKC's website and
taken a look see ... beautiful work. Historic renditions I'd love to see up close and personal.
Hope to see this finished product soon !

Sewing leather with linen thread.
I hope that sewing is more true than gluing.

Final
Broadsword is made.
2/3 of the blade is sharp. You can chop the board.
I already did it :)
I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching. Tomek

Spectacular weapon, thanks for the pictures.
Though I was quietly hoping for varnished wooden hilt, I'm a sucker for those for whatever reason. :D
What are the dimensions of this sword?

That is some awesome work, TK ... Thank you for showing the progress work on the
scabbard, but most certainly for the beautiful pictures of the final product. That sword
will certainly be a treasure for the collector or re-enactor who commissioned you ...

Simply put....

Wow! That sword exudes passion! It has a serious, purposeful elegance. Thank you for sharing.
I thank you all for your kind words. This is for me a good day.

This ones found its new home. It's a wonderful piece and I'm very glad to work with Tomek. I can only highly recommend him, this is my third piece already. I hope to write more later this week, but for now, it's a great broadsword, so many good things.
Thank you J. Nicolaysen, and I'm glad you're happy.
