This sword was made at the request of a customer who saw the original prototype for the upcoming CAS/HanweiGreat Sword of War at SHOT Show and wanted one like it. This piece was made from the 'back-up' blank that I sent through heat treat with the original in case I messed that one up. Since I never got decent photos or specs off of that piece so I thought that I would show this one. I expect that the appearance and specs of the production piece will be very close to those of this sword.

As you know, Mr. Pearce, I have been drooling over this one ever since that little video where you showed the prototype. I didn't think to ask you to just make one... however, it likely would have been cost-prohibitive for me to do so. I can not WAIT for these to get made and released... I want one of these very much.

you guys will surely be impressed if the CAS one is half as sublime in the hand as the Custom, it has the authority of any powerful cutter but seems strangely light and lively in the hand, Truly magnificent!
also, on this one, how is the pommel fitted? is it in the take-down method or peened? how will the CAS one be produced?

This one is take-down but the production swords will be peened. As to doing a similar XIIa- the thought has crossed my mind, but CAS?H is already backlogged getting stuff into productions so it won't be any time too soon.
