My next is a very accurate dane axe.
Then I will either go for another late period seax or TRY and save for a extra special sword. |
Same as me! I'm thinking about going with the A&A Danish War Axe.
And I'd have to agree, late viking period is a weapon enthusiasts dream, so many weapons, so many different move sets and combinations.

This is an especially beautiful Viking sword. Although Viking Swords are not in my area of interest, I have to say that I find this type of pommel to be really appealing on Viking swords, and the copper is at once elegant and striking. Fine work from Michael.

Beautiful sword. Kudos to Mr. P as the maker and Mr. L as the owner ...
But Tim, I can't remember ... do you have a Viking sword that DOESN'T look like it
should be owned by a King, Prince, Chieftan, or be placed behind glass in a precious
spot in a museum ? B-)
In my own mind, and to amuse myself I assure you, I imagine You've created your
collection for JUST such a purpose : To arm some of the great Vikings of the past.
No sooner do you pass out your fabulous weapons than these Viking Kings, Princes,
and Chieftans begin to argue among themselves -- maybe about their beards, or
how much brew each can drink, or whether one myth-like yarn or another is true or
false. Things soon fall to curses and blows and then swords are drawn --
But none of them can see themselves ruining your incredible gifts by chopping
up each other. And instead just wave their swords around in a threatening manner
until things calm down ...

Matt-
I just figure that if you're going to have something made it might as well be the best! Glad you like it.
I have received this sword and will be posting a few "in hand" shots and some group shots very soon!
