I have been a collector of Kosugi memorabilia since I was a kid, and have been trying to find the silver tone metal alloy bladed version of the legendary "Sho Kosugi ninja sword" for years now. It was a product of the 1980s ninja craze, and is quite hard to come by nowadays. I do have the black bladed (blued) version, but the alloy version with the etched hamon is the one I am really after! I've contacted a few martial arts gear vendors from back in the day (cobra imports...) but unfortunately no one seems to know squat! I've provided some pics of mine, as well as a friends so y'all know what exactly I'm talking about. Mind you all that I am not looking for the typical junk seen on the market today, as the stuff from back then did retain a certain level of quality (quirkiness as well). Mine is the one with the dark blade, the silver bladed one is the one I am looking for. Any old Kosugi fans out there willing to part with their childhood toys?

Note the removable spike cap at the end of the tsuka, and tanto at the end of the saya.

I was a huge Sho Kosugi fan in the 1980's especially after seeing Revenge of the Ninja in the theatre and still a fan today and always wanted the elusive SK Ninja Sword. I used to see it for sale in the magazines I collected (Ninja, Black Belt, Kung Fu) but never had enough money when I was a kid to have one. Now I am in my late 30's and I still think about it after all this time and still want one. I saw this and had to respond because I believe you feel the same way about it that I do. I will continue to look until I find one and if I hear anything I will keep you posted. Long live Sho Kosugi!! Haha.
