Arms & Armor Rondel Dagger

The rondel dagger is a military and civilian weapon with a single-edged blade with a diamond, lenticular, or triangular shape. It was named for the round (or similarly shaped) guard and pommel. It was worn at the waist and might be used as a utility tool or as a sidearm in battle or tournaments. In battle, the rondel dagger would be thrust through gaps in the armour of the opponent.

This reproduction is of 6150 steel with an ash grip, carved in a spiral pattern. The blade is triangular, making a stiff spine for thrusting. The fluted grip and hexagonal guard make an elegant statement.
