This is a fairly recent book about different military themes of the Hundred Years War, so the information is somewhat up to date. The book is arranged as a series of articles or large essays, each by a different author. It's a fairly scholarly work, but not too inaccessible. It contains some different information, including chapters about the war in Aquitaine, the 14th century French raids on Hampshire and the Isle of Wright, artillery, and English church monuments during the period. It could have used more pictures, but there are a few b&w photos. This is not a book for someone looking to learn the basics about the Hundred Years War, or the arms and armour of the period, but it is a good resource to add to more basic resources. It is a must for someone wishing to know more about that particular periiod in medieval history.
