This book is featured on Chad Arnow's list: Armi e armature lombarde by Lionello Giorgio Boccia ![]()
* RECOMMENDED * This oversized book is one of the rarer titles out there, perhaps even more rare than Boccia's Armi Bianche Italiane. It pictures well over 300 examples of Lombardic arms and armour (Lombardy is a region in north central Italy). The text is in Italian and the high-quality photos are in B&W and colour.
This one is tough to find and expensive as a result ($500+, usually a good deal more than $500). I like Armi Bianche better as it's cheaper and has more pics, but Armi e armature lombarde has pictures of armour as well as weapons. It's a great book, but pricey.
