Not terribly detailed, just a good overview of many aspects of the life of a Knight from the Carolingians all the way through to about the 16th century. This book has many nice illustrations and seems to be fairly up to date with it's info. Some good period illustrations along with pictures of artifacts and pictures of effigies and other such visuals. All in all, for $7 bucks I am thrilled to have gotten this book. I rate this book a 10, not because it is the worlds greatest book by any means, rather I am just very pleased with it for the price.
