This fully functional crossbow represents a style very common throughout medieval Europe into the early Renaissance period. The stock has a grooved top to guide the quarrel and is rather utilitarian looking. The heavy steel prod is intricately etched with images reproduced from historic woodcuts and is bound with cording. The brass release nut is re-enforced with steel where the trigger meets it. The quarrel rest, on the top of the stock, is shown pulled back and out of the way.
Overall length: 34"
Width of prod: 26"
Draw length: 8.5"
Draw weight: ~120 pounds
Effective range: 50+ yards

Maker: Michael Dabeck of Canada.
